Community Support: Coping with Grief & Crisis in LA

REGISTER HERE

Join us for a donation-based Zoom session offering grief and crisis support for Los Angeles residents navigating the devastating impacts of the wildfires. This event provides a compassionate space for healing, connection, and hope. Seventy-five percent of all donations will go directly to the Red Cross, while the remaining twenty-five percent will support Watch Duty, a vital resource for wildfire updates and community safety.

We will feature two speakers sharing insights, tools, and resources to help attendees process their grief and find resilience during these challenging times.

Cori Rosenthal is a mindfulness and trauma healing therapist. Cori holds a graduate degree in child studies from Antioch University and is trained in mindfulness and mindful self-compassion. Her work helps clients tune into their thoughts, emotions, and body sensations while learning self-soothing techniques during difficult times. Cori is also certified in Brainspotting, a powerful brain-body method for processing trauma that doesn’t require revisiting painful stories repeatedly.

Katie Huey is a certified Grief Educator and a graduate of Stanford's Applied Compassion Training program. She leads workshops and facilitates conversations designed to help people find words in situations where we often come up short.

Whether you’ve been directly affected or seek ways to support your community, this session will provide meaningful guidance and support.

Your participation will not only benefit your emotional well-being but also support a vital cause.
